Great value for money

For the price, you really can't beat this. It's not an genuine E3D, but for hobbyist printing on the Mega i3, it performs just as well. Delivery was faster than expected.

Perfect replacement for my Vyper

My original hotend started clogging frequently, so I ordered this assembly. Installation was straightforward and took about 20 minutes. Prints are coming out crisp again with no under-extrusion issues.

Good quality, fast shipping

The build quality feels solid. The brass nozzle heats up evenly. I deducted one star because the included fan was slightly louder than my original one, but it works perfectly fine.

Saved my Chiron project

Works but instructions needed

Reliable E3D V5 clone

This is a faithful reproduction of the E3D V5 style hotend. Temperature stability is excellent up to 240°C. I've run about 500g of filament through it without a single jam.

Q: Does this come with a heated bed or just the hotend?

A: This package includes only the hotend extruder assembly. It does not include a heated bed.

Q: Can I use ABS filament with this hotend?

A: Yes, this hotend can reach temperatures suitable for ABS (typically around 230-240°C). However, ensure your printer has an enclosure for best results with ABS.

Q: Is this compatible with the Anycubic Kobra?

A: No, this assembly is specifically designed for the Vyper, Chiron, and Mega i3 series. The mounting bracket geometry differs for the Kobra series.

Q: What is the length of the PTFE tube inside?

A: The internal PTFE liner extends fully to the nozzle tip to minimize gaps and reduce the chance of filament jams.

Q: Do I need to buy a separate thermistor?
