Perfect upgrade for abrasive filaments
I switched to this hardened steel kit specifically for printing carbon fiber PLA, and it has been flawless. The integrated design makes installation on my K1C much easier than previous models. No clogging issues so far after 2kg of filament.

Easy swap for beginners

Solid upgrade

Great quality, slightly tricky install
The build quality is excellent and feels very robust. My only hesitation was during installation; you need to be careful not to overtighten the throat tube. Once set up, print quality improved significantly with high-temp materials.

Solved my clogging issues

Essential for the K1 Max
If you own a K1 Max and plan to print anything other than basic PLA, this is a must-have. The dual-metal construction handles heat distribution perfectly. I've run continuous prints for 48 hours without any degradation in performance.
Q: What is the expected lifespan compared to a brass nozzle?
A: When printing with abrasive materials like carbon fiber or glass-filled filaments, a hardened steel nozzle can last 5 to 10 times longer than a standard brass nozzle. For non-abrasive filaments, the lifespan is effectively indefinite under normal use.
Q: Do I need to recalibrate my flow rate after installation?
A: It is highly recommended to perform a flow rate calibration and potentially re-level your bed after installing any new hotend components to ensure optimal first-layer adhesion and dimensional accuracy.
