Perfect upgrade for abrasive filaments
I switched to this hardened steel kit specifically for printing carbon fiber PLA, and it has been flawless. The integrated design makes installation on my K1C much easier than previous models. No clogging issues so far after 2kg of filament.

Easy swap for beginners
I was worried about replacing the hotend components myself, but the kit came with clear instructions and the right tools. Took me about 15 minutes. My Ender-3 V3 is now printing tougher materials with ease.

Solid upgrade
Works exactly as advertised. It handles nylon and ABS much better than the original equipment. Deducting one star only because the price is a bit steep, but the longevity likely justifies the cost.

Great quality, slightly tricky install
The build quality is excellent and feels very robust. My only hesitation was during installation; you need to be careful not to overtighten the throat tube. Once set up, print quality improved significantly with high-temp materials.

Solved my clogging issues
I was constantly dealing with partial clogs using the stock brass nozzle. This hardened steel kit completely eliminated that problem. The flow is consistent, and the surface finish on my prints is smoother.

Essential for the K1 Max
If you own a K1 Max and plan to print anything other than basic PLA, this is a must-have. The dual-metal construction handles heat distribution perfectly. I've run continuous prints for 48 hours without any degradation in performance.
Q: What is the expected lifespan compared to a brass nozzle?
A: When printing with abrasive materials like carbon fiber or glass-filled filaments, a hardened steel nozzle can last 5 to 10 times longer than a standard brass nozzle. For non-abrasive filaments, the lifespan is effectively indefinite under normal use.
Q: Do I need to recalibrate my flow rate after installation?
A: It is highly recommended to perform a flow rate calibration and potentially re-level your bed after installing any new hotend components to ensure optimal first-layer adhesion and dimensional accuracy.
Q: Does the package include a new silicone sock?
A: No, this kit includes only the integrated nozzle and throat tube assembly along with installation tools. You can reuse your existing silicone sock if it is in good condition, or purchase one separately.
Q: Can I use this nozzle with standard PLA at low temperatures?
A: Yes, absolutely. While hardened steel nozzles are ideal for abrasive filaments, they work perfectly fine with standard PLA, PETG, and other non-abrasive materials at typical printing temperatures.
Q: Is this kit compatible with the original Ender-3 or just the V3?
A: This specific integrated kit is designed exclusively for the Ender-3 V3, K1C, and K1 Max series. It is not compatible with the original Ender-3 or Ender-3 Pro due to differences in the hotend assembly design.
