Great quality but pricey

Solved my clogging issues

I was constantly clogging my old nozzle with glitter PLA. Since installing this 3.0 upgraded head, I haven't had a single jam. The flow rate seems slightly improved as well. Highly recommended.

Solid performance

We use this in our small production farm for ABS and ASA parts. It holds temperature very steadily. The only minor issue is that the heating block gets extremely hot, so extra care is needed during maintenance.

Q: Can I use this nozzle with food-safe PLA?

A: While the hardened steel itself is inert, we do not recommend using any 3D printed parts for food contact due to potential bacterial growth in layer lines, regardless of the nozzle material.

Q: How often should I clean the hardened steel nozzle?

A: Hardened steel nozzles are more resistant to wear but still benefit from regular cold pulls or gentle brushing when hot to remove residue, especially when switching materials.

Q: Does this kit come with different nozzle sizes like 0.6mm or 0.8mm?

A: This specific assembly comes pre-installed with a 0.4mm hardened steel nozzle. However, the nozzle is replaceable, and you can purchase separate 0.6mm or 0.8mm hardened nozzles to swap in.
