Perfect replacement set
My old pickups were microphonic and dead. This set brought my guitar back to life. The large/small options mentioned in the title refer to the mounting plates, and they fit standard cavities perfectly.

Smooth neck, crisp bridge
The balance between the two positions is excellent. I play mostly blues and country, and these deliver exactly the sound I was looking for. No excessive hum either, which is a bonus for single-coils.

Solid upgrade
Good tonal character. The highs are clear but not piercing. I had to adjust the pole pieces a bit to get the string balance right on my specific guitar, but once set, they sound fantastic.

Great value for the price
I was skeptical about the low price, but these sound surprisingly good. They are slightly quieter than my original USA pickups, but the tone is very authentic. Perfect for a weekend warrior upgrade.

Classic Tele Twang Achieved
These pickups transformed my budget Tele copy into a gig-ready instrument. The neck pickup is warm and jazzy, while the bridge has that signature bite without being too harsh. Installation was straightforward with clear wiring diagrams.

Exceeded expectations
I bought these to replace stock pickups in a Squier Affinity series. The difference is night and day. Much more dynamic response and better sustain. Highly recommended for modders.
Q: Can I use these for heavy metal genres?
A: While designed for classic rock, country, and blues, the bridge pickup has enough output for light overdrive. For heavy metal, you might prefer a high-output humbucker, but these can still work with high-gain pedals.
Q: Are these pickups hum-cancelling?
A: No, these are traditional single-coil pickups, so they will exhibit some 60-cycle hum, which is characteristic of the classic Telecaster sound. They are not stacked or noiseless models.
