Good quality, slightly stiff at first
The build quality seems solid. It was a bit stiff when I first installed it, but after toggling it back and forth a few times, it loosened up nicely. Great value for the price.

Professional grade feel
I've installed dozens of these for customers. They hold up well over time and provide consistent contact. The 1V2T1J layout is standard and easy to wire following most diagrams.

Solid construction
No complaints here. It feels sturdy, the tip fits snugly, and the washers provided were the correct size. My guitar is ready for the stage again.

Great for learning wiring
Bought this to practice rewiring my cheap electric guitar. The terminals are clearly defined, making it easy for a beginner like me to follow online tutorials. Works great now.

Solved my intermittent signal issue
My old switch was cutting out on position 3 and 4. Swapped this in, and the guitar sounds clear across all five positions. Installation took about 20 minutes.

Perfect replacement for my Strat
This switch fit perfectly into my Squier Strat. The soldering points are large enough to work with easily, and the action is smooth without any crackling noise. Highly recommended for DIY wiring projects.
Q: Will this switch fit a Fender Player Series Stratocaster?
A: Yes, this is a standard 5-way blade switch designed to fit most Stratocaster-style guitars, including the Fender Player Series, as long as the control cavity dimensions are standard.
Q: Can I use this for a Telecaster?
A: Generally no. Telecasters typically use a 3-way lever switch or a specific 4-way modification switch with a different mounting footprint. This switch is specifically designed for Stratocaster (ST) style layouts.
Q: Is the shaft length adjustable?
A: The shaft is a standard fixed length suitable for most pickguards. If your pickguard is unusually thick, you may need to purchase an extended shaft tip separately, though this rarely happens with standard models.
Q: What is the difference between this and a 3-way switch?
A: A 5-way switch allows you to select five different pickup combinations (typically neck, neck+middle, middle, middle+bridge, bridge), whereas a 3-way switch only selects three (neck, both, bridge).
Q: Does this come with pre-soldered wires?
A: No, this switch is sold as a component with solder lugs. You will need to solder your own wires according to your specific wiring diagram.
