Great value, minor fit issue
The sound quality is excellent for the price. The tuner is bright and easy to read on stage. I had to sand down the mounting ring slightly to fit my specific guitar body, but otherwise, it works perfectly.

Clear and crisp audio

Good but battery compartment is tight
The electronics work well and the tone is balanced. However, changing the battery is a bit fiddly because the compartment door is very snug. Once installed though, you rarely need to touch it.

Best budget preamp available
I have installed these in three different guitars for my students. They are reliable, sound professional, and the built-in tuner is accurate. You really cannot beat this quality at this price point.
Q: Will this fit a classical guitar with nylon strings?
A: It will fit physically if the soundhole diameter is standard (approx. 100-105mm), but please note this is a magnetic-style pickup optimized for steel strings. It may not capture nylon strings effectively.
Q: Can I use this with an external effects pedal chain?
A: Absolutely. The output jack is standard 1/4 inch, allowing you to connect directly to amplifiers, PA systems, or any standard guitar effects pedals.
Q: Is a 9V battery included in the package?
A: Yes, a standard 9V battery is included in the box so you can start using the pickup immediately upon installation.
Q: How do I know when the battery is running low?
A: The LED tuner display will begin to dim or flicker when the battery voltage drops below optimal levels. We recommend replacing the battery annually if used regularly.
