Solid replacement part
Works exactly as described. The only reason for 4 stars is that the included nut was slightly difficult to thread initially, but it tightened up fine eventually.

Perfect fit for my Jazz Bass
This recessed jack looks fantastic on my bass. The oval shape fits the existing cavity perfectly without needing to route out more wood. Very sturdy construction.

Great quality, tight fit
The metal feels premium and the nickel plating is smooth. It was a bit tight going into the hole, but once seated, it is very secure. Good value for the price.

Solved my loose jack issue
My old jack was wobbly and causing crackling noises. This recessed style eliminates all movement. Soldering was easy with the large lugs. Highly recommend.

Clean aesthetic
I love the cat-eye look; it gives the instrument a vintage yet clean appearance. The flush mount ensures the cable doesn't stick out awkwardly.
Q: Is this a stereo or mono jack?
A: This is a mono 1/4 inch jack socket, which is the standard connection type for most electric bass guitars.
Q: What is the exact size of the hole needed?
A: The jack requires an oval cavity approximately 13mm by 8mm. Please measure your existing cavity before purchasing to ensure a proper fit.
Q: Do I need any special tools to install this?
A: No special tools are required. You will typically need a soldering iron, solder, wire cutters, and a small wrench or pliers to tighten the mounting nut.
Q: Will this fit a standard Fender Precision Bass?
A: Yes, this oval cat-eye jack is designed to fit standard cavities found on most Fender-style bass guitars, including the Precision and Jazz models.
Q: Does the nickel plating tarnish easily?
A: The nickel-plated brass is resistant to tarnishing and corrosion under normal playing conditions. Regular cleaning with a soft cloth will keep it looking new.
