Sturdy construction

The metal wire is thick and the plastic frame feels solid. It took one mouse about an hour to figure out how to get in, but once it did, the trap worked instantly. Just make sure to place it against the wall.

Easy to clean

After catching a mouse, I was worried about cleaning it. The design allows you to open it fully and rinse it with a hose easily. No lingering smells after a quick wash with soap.

Good but requires patience

The trap itself is well-made, but it took three days to catch anything. I think the bait placement is key. Once I moved it closer to the back of the trap, I had success. Good value for a 2-pack.

Humane and effective

I didn't want to use poison or glue traps because of my pets. This cage trap is perfect. It catches them alive so I can release them far away from my home. Very happy with this purchase.

Great for small spaces

These fit nicely behind my refrigerator and under the sink where I suspected activity. The size is compact but large enough for a decent-sized house mouse. Would recommend to friends.

Works perfectly for my garage issue

I had a mouse problem in the garage for weeks. Set this up with some peanut butter, and within 24 hours I caught two mice. The automatic door works smoothly, and releasing them was easy without getting too close.

Q: How do I reset the trap after releasing the animal?

A: Simply open the rear door fully to reset the trigger plate. You will hear a click when it is set. Make sure to clean the trap before resetting it for the next use to remove scent markers.

Q: What bait works best with this trap?

A: High-aroma foods work best. Peanut butter, chocolate spread, or dried fruit are excellent choices. Secure the bait firmly in the included cup so the rodent has to work to get it, ensuring the trigger activates.

Q: Is the trap safe to use around cats and dogs?

A: Yes, the cage design prevents pets from accessing the interior or getting their paws caught in the trigger mechanism. However, we always recommend placing traps in areas less accessible to curious pets.

Q: Will this trap work for large rats or just mice?

A: This trap is primarily designed for house mice and chipmunks. While it can catch smaller rats, for large Norway rats we recommend our extra-large model to ensure the door mechanism triggers correctly.

Q: Can I leave this trap outside in the rain?

A: While the materials are rust-resistant, this trap is designed for indoor use or covered outdoor areas like garages and porches. Prolonged exposure to heavy rain may affect the spring mechanism over time.
