Great tool, slightly heavy
Does exactly what it says. It picks up everything metallic. My only minor complaint is that it gets a bit heavy when fully extended and loaded with scrap, but that's physics, not a design flaw. Very satisfied.

Solid build quality
Very sturdy construction. I've dropped it on concrete twice and it still works perfectly. The magnet is incredibly strong, so be careful near electronics or credit cards. Highly recommend for general cleanup.

Stronger than expected
I was skeptical about the strength claims, but this magnet picked up a heavy steel bracket that had been lost in my garage grass for years. The handle is comfortable even after using it for 20 minutes straight.

A: For fine filings that stick to the tip, simply slide the release collar back and forth while holding the rod over a trash bin. For stubborn residue, wiping the tip with a damp cloth usually works.
