My new go-to liner
I've tried many liner brushes in this category, and Marie's offers the best balance of flexibility and control. It creates incredibly smooth, uninterrupted lines.

Holds up well with acrylics

Good, but requires gentle care
The brush is very fine and great for detail, but if you press too hard, the tip can bend permanently. You really have to treat it delicately. Good for experienced users.

Great value for professionals
As someone who does a lot of portrait work, I need reliable liners. This brush performs nearly as well as brands twice the price. The only reason for 4 stars is that the handle is slightly shorter than I prefer for easel work.

A: Yes, the synthetic wolf hair blend is designed to be resistant to oils and solvents, making it suitable for oil painting as well as water-based media.
Q: How do I clean this brush if I use it with acrylics?
A: Rinse the brush thoroughly with warm water and mild soap immediately after use. Acrylic dries quickly and can ruin the fine tip if left to harden on the bristles.
Q: Can this be used for digital painting tablets?
A: This is a physical brush for traditional media (paint on canvas/paper). It cannot be used directly on digital screens, though the stroke style it creates is often mimicked in digital brushes.
Q: Does the ferrule rust over time?
A: The ferrule is made of nickel-plated brass, which is highly resistant to rust. However, we recommend drying the brush completely before storing it to ensure longevity.
