Great for calligraphy beginners
I bought these to practice small regular script. The blue and black pens work beautifully for creating thick and thin lines depending on pressure. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the red ink takes a second longer to dry than the others.

Perfect for grading papers!
As a high school teacher, I go through a lot of red pens. These Dianshi brushes are fantastic because the flexible tip allows me to write quickly without pressing hard, reducing hand fatigue. The ink flow is consistent and doesn't bleed through standard notebook paper.

Excellent for mind mapping
The variety of line widths you can achieve with a single pen makes these ideal for color-coded mind maps. The tips are durable and haven't frayed even after weeks of daily use by my study group.

Good but caps are tight
The writing experience is smooth and the colors are vibrant. However, the caps are very tight, which is good for preventing drying out, but sometimes difficult to remove quickly during class. Otherwise, a solid product.

Best value brush pens
I've tried several brands for my calligraphy hobby, and these offer the best balance of price and performance. The black is deep and opaque, perfect for bold strokes. Will definitely repurchase.

A: Absolutely. The soft tip is engineered from high-quality synthetic fibers designed to withstand daily pressure and retain its shape for extended periods, making it suitable for teachers and frequent writers.
Q: Does the red ink show up well on dark paper?
A: These pens use water-based pigment ink which is semi-transparent. They perform best on white or light-colored paper. For dark paper, we recommend using our gel pen series which offers opaque coverage.
Q: How long does it take for the ink to dry?
A: Under normal conditions, the ink typically dries within 5 to 10 seconds on standard copy paper. Drying time may vary slightly depending on paper thickness and humidity.
Q: Are these pens refillable?
A: No, the Dianshi DS827 pens are designed as disposable units. Once the ink is depleted, the entire pen should be recycled according to local guidelines.
Q: Can these be used for watercolor effects?
A: Yes, since the ink is water-based, you can use a wet brush to blend the lines for a watercolor effect immediately after writing. However, once fully dry, the pigment becomes water-resistant.
