Good condition for the price

I was pleased with the purchase. The fold lines are visible but the paper is not torn. A solid piece for anyone starting a Fourth Series collection.

Beautiful souvenir

Bought this as a keepsake from my trip planning research. The depiction of the ethnic minorities is detailed and culturally significant.

More worn than expected

The note is real, but it has more creases than I anticipated from the photos. Still acceptable for a circulated item, just manage your expectations.

Nostalgic purchase

This brings back memories of using these notes in the 80s. Happy to have a physical piece of history in my drawer again.

Great addition to my collection

The banknote arrived exactly as described. It shows signs of circulation which adds to its character, and the colors are still quite vibrant for a note from 1980.

Authentic and well preserved

As an experienced collector, I can confirm this is genuine. The texture of the cotton paper is correct, and the serial number is clear.

5 FAQ

Q: How do you guarantee authenticity?

A: We source our currency directly from reputable dealers and financial institutions. Each note undergoes a visual inspection for security features typical of the Fourth Series RMB.

Q: What specific ethnic groups are depicted on the 2 Jiao note?

A: The obverse of the 1980 2 Jiao note features portraits representing the Manchu and Hui ethnic minorities.

Q: Does the protective sleeve come included?

A: Yes, every banknote is shipped in a standard archival-quality currency sleeve to protect it during transit and storage.

Q: Is this banknote still legal tender in China?

A: While the Fourth Series RMB has been withdrawn from active circulation, it remains legal tender and can technically be exchanged at banks, though it is primarily sought after by collectors now.

Q: Are the serial numbers random or sequential if I buy multiple?

A: Serial numbers are random unless specifically noted in a special listing. If you require sequential notes, please contact us before purchasing to check availability.
