Sharp and durable
I've used cheaper step bits before that dulled after one job. This cobalt alloy bit is still razor sharp after drilling into hard alloy brackets. Highly recommend.

Cuts through stainless steel like butter

No more pilot holes needed

Great value for DIY projects
Used this to enlarge holes in my aluminum shelving units. It worked perfectly for the first 15 holes. Just make sure to use cutting oil to extend its life.

Good but requires steady pressure
Works well overall. You do need to apply consistent pressure to keep it from grabbing too aggressively on thin sheet metal. Once I got the rhythm, it was smooth sailing.

Perfect for furniture assembly modifications
Had to modify some metal bracket holes for a custom furniture build. This bit made clean, burr-free holes every time. The black coating seems to reduce friction significantly.
