Lovely tone generator

These sticks create a very pleasing, deep tone. I use them primarily for meditation gongs, and the sustain is fantastic. Deducting one star only because shipping took a bit longer than expected.

Beautiful craftsmanship

You can tell these are handcrafted with care. The finish is smooth, and there are no rough edges. They work wonderfully on my Sichuan opera gong set, bringing out the complex overtones beautifully.

Great sound, slightly heavy

The sound quality is exceptional, very clear and resonant. My only minor critique is that they are slightly heavier than my previous mallets, which took a day to get used to, but now I prefer the weight for dynamic control.

Perfect balance for large gongs

These mallets have incredible balance. The copper head produces a rich, warm tone on my 36-inch processional gong without being too harsh. The wood handle feels sturdy and comfortable during long playing sessions.
