Excellent value for money
Compared to other bronze gongs in this price range, the quality here is superior. The harmonics are clear without any unpleasant dissonance.

I use this in my weekly sound therapy sessions. The frequency is very grounding and my clients love the warm resonance it produces.

Great sound, needs a sturdy stand
The tone is rich and complex. Just be aware that you need a very stable stand for a gong of this size to prevent wobbling during play.

Lovely instrument
Very happy with this purchase. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the included beater felt a bit light, so I bought a heavier one separately.

Incredible depth and sustain
This gong exceeded my expectations. The low end is incredibly deep and the sustain lasts for over a minute. Perfect for my morning meditation practice.
Q: Is the beater suitable for soft playing?
A: Yes, the included wooden beater is designed for general use. For very soft, ethereal sounds, you might consider purchasing a separate yarn-wrapped mallet, but the included one works well for most dynamics.
Q: Can this be used outdoors?
A: While it can be used outdoors temporarily, we recommend keeping it indoors or under cover. Prolonged exposure to humidity and rain can affect the bronze patina and tuning over time.
Q: What is the difference between this Moon Luo and a Chau gong?
A: This Moon Luo has a flat face with a turned rim, producing a more focused pitch and faster attack. A Chau gong typically has a raised center boss and a more chaotic, wash-like sound spectrum.
Q: How do I clean the patina if it gets dusty?
A: Simply use a soft, dry microfiber cloth to gently dust the surface. Avoid using water, chemical polishes, or abrasive materials, as these can damage the hand-polished finish and alter the tone.
Q: Does this gong come with a stand?
A: No, the gong comes with a suspension cord and a beater, but the stand is sold separately to allow you to choose the height and stability that best fits your space.
