Perfect for our theater group
The sound quality is exceptional for the price. We use it for our local opera rehearsals, and the sustain is beautiful. It arrived well-packaged with no dents.

Decent but needs breaking in
The gong sounded a bit metallic at first, but after playing it for a week, the tone has warmed up nicely. Shipping took longer than expected despite being free.

Impressive projection
For a 22cm gong, the volume and projection are impressive. It cuts through the mix in our ensemble perfectly. Very happy with this purchase.

Beautiful craftsmanship
I bought this for my meditation studio. The hammer marks are authentic looking, and the sound is clear without being too harsh. Highly recommend!

Great value for Sanju Ban
Exactly what was needed for our traditional performance troupe. The mallet included is decent quality, and the gong responds well to different striking techniques.

Good tone, slightly lighter than expected
As a professional musician, I find the pitch accurate for a soprano gong. The metal feels slightly thinner than my vintage instruments, but it works great for practice.
Q: How should I clean the gong if it tarnishes?
A: We recommend using a soft, dry cloth for regular cleaning. If tarnish occurs, use a specialized bronze polish gently, avoiding the hammered texture areas to preserve the finish.
Q: Can I choose the specific pitch when ordering?
A: Yes, please select your preferred pitch (Soprano, Alto, or Bass) from the dropdown menu on the product page before adding to cart.
Q: Does this come with a stand or just the mallet?
A: This package includes the hand gong, one wooden mallet, and a hanging cord. A floor stand is not included but can be purchased separately.
Q: Is the shipping really free to the USA?
A: Yes, we offer free standard shipping to the United States. Delivery typically takes 10-15 business days depending on your location.
Q: What is the difference between this and a Tam-Tam?
A: This is a Bossed Gong (Su Gong), which has a raised center knob and produces a definite pitch. A Tam-Tam is flat-faced and produces an indefinite, crashing sound.
