Good value for money

The bottle lasts a long time since you only need a little bit per application. It works exactly as described for protecting the surface. I wish it came with a slightly larger cloth, but overall very satisfied.

Great dust repellent

I live in a dusty area and cleaning my Guqin daily was a hassle. Since using this oil, dust doesn't stick as much. The only reason for 4 stars is that the scent is slightly stronger than I expected, but it fades quickly.

Q: Is the formula safe for antique instruments?

A: Yes, our formula is pH-neutral and free from harsh chemicals, making it safe for both modern and antique lacquered Guqins. However, we always suggest testing on a small, inconspicuous area first.

Q: Will this make the strings slippery?

A: No, if applied correctly. Please spray onto the microfiber cloth first, then gently wipe the body of the Guqin, avoiding direct contact with the strings.

Q: Does this remove existing scratches?

A: This product is designed for protection and shine enhancement. While it can minimize the appearance of very fine surface marks by hydrating the lacquer, it cannot repair deep scratches or structural damage.

Q: How often should I apply the spray?

A: For regular maintenance, applying once a month is sufficient. In very dry climates or during winter, you may increase frequency to once every two weeks.

Q: Can this be used on raw wood unpolished Guqins?

A: This product is specifically formulated for lacquered surfaces. For raw or unpolished wood, we recommend using our dedicated Raw Wood Conditioner instead to avoid altering the texture.
