Great upgrade for my bass
Installed this on my Fender Jazz Bass. The active EQ gives me so much more control over my tone. The JB pickup sounds warm and punchy. Installation was straightforward with the diagram included.

Smooth mids
The mid control is really useful for cutting through the mix. The JB pickup matches well with the active preamp. Shipping was fast too.

Good value, minor noise
The preamp works well and the boost is significant. I noticed a slight hiss when the gain is maxed out, but it's manageable. For the price, it's a solid kit.

Battery compartment tight
