Lovely scent and appearance
The subtle clove-like scent is wonderful when you walk by. One stem arrived slightly bent, but it straightened up after a day of upright positioning. Overall, a very satisfying purchase for brightening up the living room.

Beautiful blooms right out of the box!
I was worried about ordering a live plant online, but this carnation arrived in perfect condition. The buds opened within two days, and the colors are even prettier than the photos. It's now sitting on my sunny balcony and looks fantastic.

Great plant, careful with watering
The plant is healthy and vigorous. Just a tip for new owners: don't overwater! I made that mistake initially, but once I let the soil dry out a bit between waterings, it thrived. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a splash of color indoors.

Hardy and long-lasting

Perfect gift for my mom

Exceeded expectations
For the price, the quality is outstanding. The soil mix seems high quality, and the pot is sturdy. It's great to have fresh flowers that I don't have to replace every week. Will definitely buy another variety soon.
Q: What should I do when the flowers start to fade?
A: To encourage continuous blooming, practice 'deadheading.' Simply snip off the spent flower heads just below the base of the bloom. This directs the plant's energy into producing new buds rather than seeds.
Q: How often does this plant need to be repotted?
A: Carnations generally enjoy being slightly root-bound. You typically only need to repot once a year in the spring if the roots are circling the bottom of the pot or growing out of the drainage holes.
Q: Are the flowers safe if my cat tries to eat them?
A: Yes, Dianthus caryophyllus (carnations) are considered non-toxic to cats, dogs, and horses. However, eating large amounts of any plant material may cause mild stomach upset, so it's still best to discourage chewing.
Q: Can I keep this plant entirely indoors without any natural sunlight?
A: While carnations can tolerate lower light, they thrive best with at least 4 to 6 hours of bright, indirect sunlight. If kept in a room with no natural light, we recommend placing it under a grow light for optimal blooming.
