Authentic feel
As someone returning to calligraphy after years, this kit brought back great memories. The inkstone is smooth, and the bristles on the large brush are soft yet resilient. A complete four treasures set indeed.

Good for practice, instructions could be better
The materials are high quality, especially the water writing cloth which is very durable. However, the included guide is very basic. You might need to watch online tutorials to get started effectively.

Perfect starter kit for my daughter

Excellent quality Xuan paper
I was worried the paper might be too thin, but the included Xuan paper is perfect. It absorbs the ink beautifully without bleeding too much. The variety of brush sizes allows for different stroke styles.

Great value, nice storage box
The quality of the brushes is surprisingly good for the price. The bamboo storage box keeps everything organized and looks elegant on my desk. The ink stick takes some effort to grind, but that's part of the traditional experience.
