Perfect for my old plum tree
The quality of the clay is exceptional. It has a wonderful earthy smell and the square shape fits my bonsai perfectly. The drainage works great.

Nice texture
The grain on the clay is very visible and adds character. The corners are sharp and well-defined. Lost one star only because shipping took a bit long.

Beautiful but heavy
This pot is stunning and looks very traditional. Just be aware it is quite heavy due to the thick clay walls, which is actually good for stability.

Excellent breathability
My banyan tree seems to thrive in this pot. The unglazed nature of the zisha clay really helps with root aeration compared to my glazed pots.

I couldn't believe the price for a genuine purple clay pot. No chips or cracks, arrived safely packaged. Highly recommend for serious hobbyists.

A: For algae, gently scrub the exterior with a soft brush and warm water. Avoid using soap or detergents as they can clog the pores of the purple clay.
Q: Is the clay frost-resistant for outdoor winter use?
A: While purple clay is durable, we recommend bringing the pot indoors or providing protection during freezing temperatures to prevent potential cracking from ice expansion.
Q: Can I use this for succulents or just bonsai?
A: You can certainly use it for succulents! The breathable clay is excellent for plants that prefer dry conditions. Just ensure you use a well-draining soil mix.
Q: What is the diameter of the drainage hole?
A: The drainage hole is approximately 1.5 cm in diameter and comes pre-fitted with a plastic mesh screen to keep soil in while allowing water out.
