Works well on wooden doors too
Although marketed mostly for glass, I used this on a heavy solid oak door in my home. It handles the weight perfectly. Just ensure your floor depth is sufficient for the housing.

Solid build quality
The unit feels very robust and well-made. Installation took a bit of time as you need to cut into the floor, but once installed, it works flawlessly. Deducted one star only because the instructions could be clearer.

Great value for money
Compared to other brands, this CROWN spring offers excellent performance at a better price point. The adjustable speed valves make it easy to tune the closing force exactly how we wanted it.

Silent and smooth operation
We replaced an old noisy closer with this H220-B model. The difference is night and day. It closes the door silently without slamming, which is great for our library setting.

Perfect for heavy glass doors

Professional grade hardware
As a contractor, I have installed dozens of these. They are reliable, durable, and rarely require call-backs for adjustments. The N818 series is my go-to choice for high-traffic areas.
Q: Can the closing speed be adjusted after installation?
A: Absolutely. There are two adjustment valves on the top plate that allow you to independently control the main closing speed and the latching speed using a standard screwdriver.
Q: Is this suitable for a 12mm thick frameless glass door?
A: Yes, the H220-B is specifically designed to handle frameless glass doors ranging from 10mm to 12mm thickness, provided the door weight does not exceed 100kg.
Q: Is this product weatherproof for outdoor entryways?
A: The H220-B features a corrosion-resistant finish suitable for covered outdoor entries. However, for fully exposed outdoor locations with direct rain, we recommend adding a protective canopy or checking specific IP ratings.
Q: Does this come with the mounting plates and screws?
A: Yes, the package includes the main floor spring unit, top pivot plates, mounting screws, and an installation template. An Allen key for adjustments is also included.
Q: What is the minimum floor depth required for installation?
A: You will need a minimum floor recess depth of approximately 75mm to accommodate the body of the floor spring. Please check the technical drawing in the manual before cutting.
