Great water retention
The brush holds water very well, making it excellent for flat washes in watercolor painting. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the handle feels slightly lighter than I expected, but the performance is top-notch.

For the price, this is an excellent brush. The wool quality is consistent, and the ferrule is secure. It took a couple of uses to break in fully, but now it writes beautifully.
