Good product, fast shipping
The pen works exactly as described. I ordered the 38 dyne level for our packaging line. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the cap can be a bit tight to remove quickly, but the fluid flow is excellent.

Reliable Japanese quality
I have tried other brands, but the Japan Pacific pens seem to last longer without drying out. The ink spread is very clear, making it easy to determine if the surface tension is sufficient for adhesion.

Q: Is the fluid inside hazardous?
A: The fluid contains formamide and other solvents. It should be used in a well-ventilated area. Please refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) included with the product for detailed handling instructions.
Q: Can I use this pen on metal surfaces?
A: While primarily designed for plastics and films, these pens can technically be used on coated metals to check for contamination or coating integrity, though they are most accurate on polymer substrates.
Q: How do I interpret the results when using this pen?
A: If the liquid bead remains intact for 2 seconds, the surface tension is lower than the pen's rating. If it spreads evenly within 2 seconds, the surface tension is equal to or higher than the rating.
Q: Do you sell a kit with multiple dyne levels?
A: Currently, we sell individual pens for specific dyne levels (e.g., 30, 34, 38). You can add multiple specific ratings to your cart to create your own custom kit based on your testing requirements.
Q: What is the shelf life once the bottle is opened?
A: Once opened, we recommend using the pen within 6 months for optimal accuracy. Always ensure the cap is tightly sealed immediately after use to prevent evaporation.
