Works well but instructions are sparse
The pen itself works fine for testing surface tension, but I wish it came with a more detailed guide on storage temperatures. Had to look up best practices online. Product quality is solid though.

Good value, accurate readings
Bought the 38 and 42 dyne pens for checking coating adhesion. They work exactly as described. Only giving 4 stars because the cap can be a bit tight to remove sometimes, but the accuracy makes up for it.

A: Currently, we sell the pens individually so you can select the specific dyne levels you need. However, many customers purchase a set of common values like 38, 40, and 42 together for comprehensive testing.

A: These pens contain chemical solutions intended for industrial or laboratory use. We recommend using them in a well-ventilated area and avoiding direct skin contact or inhalation of fumes.
Q: Can this pen be used on metal surfaces?

Q: What is the difference between the 38 and 40 dyne pens?
A: The number indicates the surface tension level in dynes per centimeter that the fluid is calibrated to. A 40 dyne pen will bead up on a surface with less than 40 dynes/cm energy, while a 38 dyne pen tests for a slightly lower threshold.
