Great value for the price
For the cost, you really can't beat this. The rod is sturdy enough for small fish, though I wouldn't take it out for anything too heavy. The included tackle box is a nice bonus.

Good but line could be better
The rod itself is great for kids, but the pre-spooled line felt a bit cheap and tangled easily. I replaced it with my own line, and now it works perfectly.

Excellent gift idea

Compact and fun

Perfect starter kit for my son!

Solid construction for beginners
It's not professional grade, but that's not what it's for. It's durable enough to withstand a child learning the ropes. The foam handle provides a good grip even when wet.
