Consistent tuning stability
Once stretched properly, these hold tune incredibly well. The coating seems to reduce friction at the nut and bridge, helping with stability during bends.

No loss in high-end sparkle
Some coated strings mute the highs, but not these. They retain that classic D'Addario chime while offering superior protection against sweat and grime.

Best longevity I've experienced
These strings last significantly longer than my previous uncoated sets. The tone remains bright even after weeks of heavy playing without sounding dead.

Good value despite higher price
They are more expensive upfront, but considering I change them half as often, the cost per hour of play is actually lower. Sound quality is excellent.

Great feel, slightly different texture
The coating makes them feel very smooth under the fingers. It took a day to get used to the slickness, but now I love how fast I can move across the fretboard.

Perfect for gigging musicians
I play three nights a week and usually change strings every ten days. With the XS set, I'm going on a month and they still sound fresh. Highly recommended.
Q: Does the coating affect the magnetic pickup output?
A: No, the micro-thin coating does not interfere with magnetic fields. You will experience the same output levels and dynamic response as uncoated strings.
Q: What is the exact gauge breakdown for the Light set?
A: The Light (10-46) set includes gauges: .010, .013, .017, .026, .036, and .046 inches.
Q: Are these strings compatible with Floyd Rose tremolo systems?
A: Yes, the XS Coated strings work perfectly with Floyd Rose and other locking tremolo systems. Just ensure you stretch them thoroughly before locking.
Q: Can I use these on a bass guitar?
A: No, this product is specifically designed for 6-string electric guitars. We offer separate XS Coated sets for bass guitars in our catalog.
Q: How should I dispose of old coated strings?
A: While the steel core is recyclable, the polymer coating may complicate standard recycling. We recommend checking with local metal recycling facilities for specific guidelines.
