Good but slippery at first
The coating makes them very slick, which took me a day to get used to. Once broken in, they sound great, but beginners might find the slide a bit tricky initially.

Long lasting brightness
I've been using these for three weeks and they still sound fresh. The anti-rust claim seems accurate as I sweat a lot during practice. Only minus one star because the packaging was slightly dented.

Perfect for my 7-string Ibanez
These strings feel incredibly smooth under the fingers thanks to the coating. The low B string is tight and clear without any muddiness. Great value for a full set.

Consistent quality across the set
No dead spots on any of the seven strings. The transition from the high E to the low B is seamless. Will definitely buy again.

Best budget coated strings
Honestly, these compete with brands that cost twice as much. The tuning stability is excellent right out of the box. Highly recommend for metal players.

Solid choice for drop tunings
I run my guitar in Drop A and these hold up well. The tension feels balanced. They aren't quite as bright as uncoated strings, but the longevity makes up for it.
Q: Are these strings compatible with a standard scale length 7-string guitar?
A: Yes, the Alice AWR58 set is designed for standard scale lengths typically found on most 7-string electric guitars.
Q: Can I use these on a baritone guitar?
A: While primarily designed for 7-string guitars, they can work on baritone guitars depending on the specific scale length and tuning requirements, though tension may vary.
Q: How long does the anti-rust protection typically last?
A: Under normal playing conditions, the anti-rust coating helps maintain string integrity and tone for approximately 3 to 4 times longer than standard uncoated strings.
Q: What is the exact gauge of the low B string in this set?
A: The low 7th string in the AWR58 set has a gauge of .059 inches.
Q: Does the coating affect the tone compared to uncoated strings?
A: The nanocoating may slightly reduce the initial extreme brightness compared to uncoated strings, but it provides a more consistent tone over a longer lifespan.
