Easy to program for beginners
As someone new to embedded systems, I found this board easy to set up with the Arduino IDE. Plenty of example codes available online. It's a great learning tool for IoT and GPS projects.

Perfect for Meshtastic Projects

Good range, consumes power as expected
The LoRa transmission range is solid, reaching about 2km in suburban areas. Note that continuous GPS usage drains the battery faster, so implement sleep modes in your code for long-term deployments.

Solid tracking performance
Used this for a custom drone tracker. The positioning accuracy is within 2-3 meters in good sky conditions. The ability to switch between Wi-Fi and LoRa makes it very versatile for different telemetry needs.

Great value, minor documentation gaps
Hardware quality is excellent for the price. The ESP32 handles multitasking well. I deducted one star because the pinout diagram in the manual was slightly unclear, but community forums helped me sort it out quickly.

Bought 10 for our workshop

Q: Is the Meshtastic firmware pre-installed?
A: Most batches ship with a basic test firmware. You will need to flash the latest Meshtastic firmware yourself using the web installer or command-line tools to ensure you have the most recent features and security updates.
Q: Does this support OTA (Over-The-Air) updates?
A: Yes, since it is based on the ESP32 chip, it fully supports OTA updates via Wi-Fi. You can update your sketch or firmware remotely without needing a physical USB connection after the initial setup.
Q: Can I power this directly from a 5V USB power bank?
A: Yes, the board features a voltage regulator that accepts input between 3.3V and 5V. You can safely power it using a standard 5V USB power bank via the Micro-USB port.
Q: What is the maximum microSD card size supported?
A: The board supports microSD cards up to 32GB formatted in FAT32. Cards larger than 32GB may require specific formatting tools to work correctly with the ESP32 file system.
Q: Does this board come with an antenna included?
