Great value for industrial projects
We deployed these for a smart camera project. The dual MIPI inputs are very useful. Setup took some time due to driver configuration, but once running, it is very stable.

Solid hardware, steep learning curve
The build quality is excellent and the ports are well laid out. However, if you are not familiar with Linux embedded systems, expect to spend a few days getting your environment set up.

Best in class for HiSilicon ecosystem
If you need a domestic Chinese AI chip for compliance reasons, this is the go-to board. The inference speed is impressive for the price point. No lag in real-time video processing.

Good board, limited community support
Hardware works as advertised, but finding specific tutorials or community forums for this specific chip is harder than for Raspberry Pi or NVIDIA Jetson. Good for experienced devs.
Q: What is the maximum resolution for the camera input?
A: The dual MIPI CSI interfaces can support sensors up to 8 megapixels individually, or two simultaneous 4MP streams, depending on the frame rate requirements of your application.
Q: Can I expand the storage beyond the built-in 16GB?
A: Absolutely. The board features a MicroSD (TF) card slot that supports expansion up to 128GB, allowing you to store larger datasets or models.
Q: Does it come with pre-installed AI demo code?
A: Yes, the eMMC comes with a demo image containing sample code for face detection, license plate recognition, and basic image classification to help you start developing quickly.
Q: Does this board support Android OS?
A: The primary supported operating system is Linux. While Android ports exist for some HiSilicon chips, official support and drivers for this specific development board are focused on Linux and OpenHarmony.
Q: Is a power adapter included in the box?
A: Yes, the package includes a 5V/3A USB Type-C power adapter and a data cable to get you started immediately upon unboxing.
