Great value, minor documentation gaps
Hardware quality is excellent and the price is unbeatable. However, the included schematic could be more detailed regarding the power regulation section. Once figured out, it works flawlessly.

Good learning tool
As a beginner to DSPs, this board was a great starting point. There are plenty of example codes available online for the F28335. Just wish it came with a USB debugger included.

Reliable for prototyping
We used this for rapid prototyping before moving to a custom PCB. The stability was impressive, and the CAN bus interface worked perfectly with our vehicle network simulation.

Excellent ADC performance
The 12-bit ADC is very accurate for sampling current and voltage in my inverter design. The sampling rate is sufficient for high-frequency switching applications. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Perfect for Motor Control Projects
This board is exactly what I needed for my BLDC motor control project. The 150MHz speed handles the control loops effortlessly, and the pinout is clearly labeled. Code Composer Studio recognized it immediately.

Robust build quality
I've purchased several of these for our university lab. They are robust, the soldering is clean, and they have survived multiple student wiring errors without damage. Highly recommended for education.
Q: Are the GPIO pins 5V tolerant?
A: No, the GPIO pins operate at 3.3V logic levels and are not 5V tolerant. Connecting them directly to 5V signals may damage the processor. Please use level shifters if interfacing with 5V devices.
Q: Can I use this board for real-time audio processing?
A: While the F28335 is powerful, it is primarily optimized for industrial control and motor drive applications. For complex audio processing, a dedicated audio DSP or higher-end floating-point processor might be more suitable.
Q: Does this board come with an onboard JTAG emulator?
A: No, this board does not include an onboard emulator. You will need an external XDS100v2 or XDS200 JTAG emulator to program and debug the device.
Q: Is the source code for the examples provided?
A: Yes, we provide a link to a GitHub repository containing basic example projects for GPIO, ADC, PWM, and UART communication compatible with Code Composer Studio.
Q: What is the input voltage range for the board?
A: The board accepts a DC input voltage between 5V and 9V via the barrel jack or header pins. It features an onboard regulator to step this down to the required 3.3V and 1.9V levels.
