Reliable Ethernet connectivity
I used this to add remote monitoring to a sensor node. The RJ45 port feels sturdy, and the board maintains a stable connection over long periods. The 3.3V logic level is perfect for direct interfacing.

Great value, minor documentation gaps
The hardware quality is solid and the connection speed is stable. I deducted one star because the example code provided was a bit sparse, but once I found the W5500 library, everything worked flawlessly.

Good for industrial control prototypes
We used several of these for a proof-of-concept in our factory automation line. They handled Modbus TCP well. Just ensure your power supply can handle the current spike during network initialization.

Best bang for your buck

Perfect for IoT Prototyping
This board made connecting my STM32 project to the local network incredibly easy. The W5500 chip handles all the TCP/IP stack, so I didn't have to write complex networking code. Highly recommended for students and hobbyists.

Excellent for learning networking
As a beginner in embedded systems, this board helped me understand how hardware-based TCP/IP stacks work. It's much faster than bit-banging an Ethernet connection. Setup with Keil and STM32CubeIDE was straightforward.
Q: What is the maximum cable length supported?
A: Since it uses a standard 10/100 Mbps RJ45 interface, it supports standard Ethernet cable lengths up to 100 meters (328 feet) with Cat5e or Cat6 cables.
Q: Does this board support PoE (Power over Ethernet)?
A: No, this development board does not have built-in PoE support. You will need to provide 3.3V power via the header pins or an external regulator.
Q: Can I use this with 5V Arduino boards directly?
A: The board operates at 3.3V. While many 5V Arduinos are 5V tolerant on SPI pins, it is highly recommended to use a logic level shifter to prevent potential damage to the STM32 or W5500 chip.
Q: Is the source code for the demo available?
A: Yes, we provide GitHub links in the product wiki page containing example projects for Keil, IAR, and Arduino IDE using the W5500 library.
