Sturdy and well designed
Unlike some other dev boards that feel fragile, this one feels solid. The case design protects the components well, which is great when handing it to younger learners. Battery life is decent too.

Perfect for classroom introduction to IoT
I bought this for my high school robotics club. The graphical programming interface makes it incredibly easy for students who have never coded before to get started. The built-in sensors work flawlessly out of the box.

Exceeded expectations for the price
Amazing value. The Wi-Fi connection is stable, and I love that it supports both block coding and text-based Python. It's become my go-to board for quick home automation prototypes.

Excellent educational tool

Fun learning curve
I am new to electronics and this kit made learning about sensors and connectivity fun. The only reason for 4 stars is that the USB cable included was a bit short, but that's a minor issue.

Great hardware, documentation could be better
The board itself is fantastic with a bright screen and responsive touch buttons. However, some of the advanced MicroPython examples were a bit sparse. Once you figure it out, it's a powerful little device.
Q: Is the screen touch-sensitive or just a display?
A: The device features three capacitive touch buttons located below the screen for interaction. The screen itself is an IPS display for output only.
Q: What is the maximum voltage for the Grove ports?
A: The Grove ports operate at 3.3V logic level. Please ensure any external sensors or modules you connect are compatible with 3.3V to avoid damaging the board.
Q: Can this board be programmed using Arduino IDE?
A: Yes, the StickC PLUS2 is fully compatible with the Arduino IDE. You will need to install the ESP32 board manager package to get started.
Q: Can I use this without an internet connection?
A: Absolutely. While it has Wi-Fi capabilities, you can run standalone programs using the internal sensors and display without ever connecting to a network.
