Robust industrial prototype platform
We used this for a proof-of-concept industrial controller. The temperature stability is good, and the FMC connector allows us to add custom I/O easily. Highly recommended for prototyping.

Solid performance, runs hot under load
The processing speed is fantastic for digital signal processing tasks. Note that if you push both ARM cores and the FPGA fabric hard, it gets warm. I added a small heatsink which solved it completely.

Great board, documentation could be better
Hardware quality is excellent and the Zynq chip performs as expected. However, the schematic diagrams provided on the wiki were slightly outdated. Once I figured out the pin mappings, development was smooth.

Fast shipping and well packaged
Arrived earlier than expected. The anti-static packaging was professional. Board booted immediately using the pre-loaded SD card image. Very happy with this purchase for our university lab.

Perfect for embedded vision projects
The MIPI interface works flawlessly with standard camera modules. I was able to get a video stream up and running in PetaLinux within a few hours. The dual Ethernet ports are a huge plus for network processing applications.

Excellent value for Zynq learning
As a student moving from pure FPGA to SoC design, this board is ideal. The onboard JTAG saves money on external programmers, and the community support for this specific model is growing fast.
Q: What version of Vivado is recommended for this Zynq-7010/7020 board?
A: We recommend using Xilinx Vivado 2020.2 or later for optimal support of the Zynq-7000 series. Older versions may work but might lack some peripheral IP updates.
