Solid board, minor heating
Works flawlessly with ESP-IDF. I noticed it gets slightly warm during sustained Wi-Fi transmission, but nothing concerning. The build quality is excellent.

Best value for money
Having 16MB flash and 8MB PSRAM at this price point is unbeatable. Setup with Arduino IDE was instant. Highly recommended for students and professionals alike.
Q: Is this compatible with the original ESP32 libraries?
A: Most ESP32 libraries are compatible, but you may need to select the 'ESP32S3' board definition in your IDE and update some specific drivers for optimal performance.
Q: Does this board support external antennas?
A: Yes, the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1 module includes an IPEX connector for attaching an external antenna if you need extended range.
Q: Does it come with a USB cable included?
A: No, the package includes only the development board. A standard USB-C to USB-A cable is required for programming and power, which is sold separately.
Q: What is the maximum current output for the 3.3V pin?
A: The onboard regulator can typically supply up to 500mA total for the board and peripherals, but we recommend drawing no more than 200mA from the 3.3V pin for external sensors.
Q: Can I power this board directly via the VIN pin?
A: Yes, you can supply 5V to the VIN pin, or simply use the USB-C port which provides regulated power to the board.
