Good but pricey
Functionality is good but slightly more expensive than similar boards without screens. You pay for the display convenience.

Solid performance
The ESP32-S3 chip is much faster than the original ESP32. PSRAM helps with graphics. No overheating issues during testing.

Perfect for IoT prototypes
Works flawlessly out of the box. The screen is bright and the Wi-Fi connection is stable. Highly recommend for home automation projects.

Great board, minor docs issue
Hardware is excellent. Setup was easy using Arduino IDE. Only wish the wiki had more examples for the LCD library.

Love the RGB LED
The RGB LED indicator is a nice touch for status signaling. USB-C makes programming convenient. Very satisfied.
Q: What is the max current for GPIO?
A: Each GPIO pin can provide up to 40mA. Total current consumption should be monitored.
Q: Does this support battery charging?
A: No, this board does not have a built-in lithium battery charging circuit. You need an external module.
Q: Is Windows driver needed?
A: Usually plug and play. If not recognized, install the CP210x or CH343 driver depending on the batch.
Q: Can I use 3.3V sensors?
A: Yes, the GPIO pins operate at 3.3V logic level. Ensure your sensors are compatible.
Q: Is the LCD touch sensitive?
A: No, the 1.47 inch display on this model is not touch-enabled. It is a standard LCD screen.
