Great specs, warm under load
Works well for most tasks but does get warm when utilizing full CPU capacity and WiFi simultaneously. Added a small heatsink and it runs stable now.

Good documentation
Waveshare wiki helped a lot getting started with the ESP-IDF. Would give 5 stars if the pinout was silk-screened on the back as well.

Powerful little board
The RISC-V performance is impressive for the size. I used it for a data logging project and the WiFi 6 throughput exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend for advanced IoT.
Q: Is this board compatible with the Arduino IDE?
A: Yes, this board is fully compatible with the Arduino IDE using the ESP32 package manager.
Q: What is the maximum current draw recommended?
A: We recommend supplying 5V at up to 500mA for stable operation under full load.
Q: Does it support camera modules?
A: Yes, the DVP interface supports various camera modules for image processing tasks.
Q: Can I use an external antenna for better range?
A: This model uses a high-gain onboard ceramic antenna. There is no connector for an external antenna.
Q: Is it possible to run Linux on this chip?
A: Yes, lightweight Linux distributions can be ported given the PSRAM and Flash capacity.
