Perfect for Industrial IoT Gateway
This board exceeded my expectations. The W5500 Ethernet module works flawlessly with the STM32 HAL library. The quad RS485 ports are isolated and stable even in noisy environments. Highly recommended for data logging applications.

Solid hardware, documentation could improve
The build quality is excellent and the flash storage is a nice bonus. However, the pinout diagram in the manual was slightly unclear regarding the GPIO mapping. Once figured out, it works great.

RS485 implementation is clean
I was worried about signal integrity on the serial lines, but there is no noise issues on the bus. The industrial temperature range is accurate as tested in our cold storage facility.

W5500 works out of the box
Integrated the board into our control system within a day. The library support for the Ethernet controller is robust. Power consumption is also within expected limits for this class of MCU.

Great value for the features
Getting Ethernet, multiple RS485, and flash storage on one board at this price point is rare. The only downside is the USB connector feels a bit loose, but functionality is not affected.
Q: What is the maximum Ethernet speed supported?
A: The W5500 controller supports 10/100 Mbps Ethernet connections. Gigabit Ethernet is not supported on this model.
Q: Does this board support the Arduino IDE?
A: Yes, this board is compatible with the Arduino IDE using the STM32duino core package. You will need to select the appropriate generic STM32F407 board profile.
Q: Is there a 3.3V output pin available for sensors?
A: Yes, there are dedicated 3.3V power pins on the header interface capable of powering low-current external sensors.
Q: Are the RS485 ports opto-isolated?
A: Yes, all four RS485 interfaces feature optical isolation to protect the MCU from voltage spikes on the communication lines.
