Perfect for Classroom IoT Lessons
I bought several of these for my high school robotics club. The graphical programming interface makes it incredibly easy for beginners to start building connected devices without getting bogged down in syntax errors. The battery life holds up well during a full class period.

My kid loves it
Bought this for my 12-year-old who is interested in coding. The block-based programming allowed him to make a weather station in an afternoon. It's durable enough to handle being tossed in a backpack too.

Good value for the features
For the price, you get a lot of functionality. The buttons are tactile and responsive. I wish the battery was slightly larger for long-term deployments, but for learning and testing, it is perfectly adequate.

Great hardware, documentation could be richer
The board itself is compact and the screen is bright and clear. Wi-Fi connectivity is stable. I deducted one star because some of the advanced MicroPython examples were a bit hard to find on the wiki. Otherwise, a solid dev board.

Excellent ESP32 implementation
As someone who uses ESP32 boards regularly, this form factor is very convenient. The built-in screen saves so much time on prototyping. USB-C charging is a nice modern touch. Highly recommended for quick IoT proofs of concept.
Q: Is this suitable for children under 10?
A: While the hardware is safe, we recommend it for ages 10 and up. Younger children may benefit from adult supervision when using the graphical programming software to maximize the learning experience.
Q: Can I power this solely from the battery without USB connected?
A: Absolutely. The included 300mAh LiPo battery allows the device to run independently. It is ideal for portable IoT projects where USB power is not available.
Q: Is this board compatible with the Arduino IDE?
A: Yes, the StickC PLUS2 is fully compatible with the Arduino IDE. You can install the ESP32 board manager and upload your sketches directly via the USB Type-C port.
Q: Does it support MicroPython firmware?
