Excellent for FPGA integration
Integrated this dual-camera module with my Xilinx board without major issues. The synchronization between the two cameras is precise, which is crucial for my stereo vision project. Image quality is sharp for the price point.

Solid hardware, documentation needs work
The module itself works great and the OV5640 sensor is reliable. However, finding specific pinout details for less common MCUs took some time. Once configured, performance is stable.

Exceeded expectations
Low power consumption and the FPC connector is sturdy. We ordered multiple units for our batch production and consistency was high across all boards. Will buy again.

Good value but steep learning curve
Hardware is reliable but finding example code for my specific MCU was hard. Support helped eventually. Would recommend for experienced developers rather than beginners.

Perfect for computer vision robots
Using this for a small autonomous robot. The dual-camera setup allows for basic depth estimation. Low latency and good color reproduction in indoor lighting. Very happy with this purchase.
Q: Are there drivers available for the ESP32-CAM?
A: Yes, sample drivers and integration guides are available in our GitHub repository under the ESP32 section.
Q: What is the length of the FPC cable included in the package?
A: The standard package includes a 10cm FPC cable. Longer cables are available separately in our accessories section.
Q: What is the typical power consumption during active capture?
A: Typical consumption is around 150mA at 3.3V during active capture. Standby current is significantly lower.
Q: Does this module support MIPI CSI-2 interface?
A: No, this specific model uses the DVP parallel interface. Please check our MIPI series products if CSI-2 support is required for your project.
Q: Can this camera module be used outdoors?
A: It is rated for -20°C to 70°C, but the lens and PCB are not weatherproofed. We recommend using a protective enclosure for outdoor applications.
