Sturdy and elegant
The base is wide enough that it doesn't tip over even with heavier brushes. The carving depth gives it a nice 3D texture. Highly recommend for traditional decor enthusiasts.

Perfect gift for art lovers
I bought this as a housewarming gift for a friend who loves Asian decor. She was thrilled! The wood quality feels very solid and heavy, not hollow or cheap.

Adds a Zen vibe to the living room
Even though I don't do calligraphy, I use this purely as a decorative piece on my bookshelf. The gourd shape symbolizes good fortune, and the wood grain is beautiful.

Beautiful but smaller than expected
The ornament is gorgeous and well-made. I gave it 4 stars only because it is slightly smaller than I imagined from the photos, but it still fits standard brushes well.

High quality solid wood
You can tell this is real rosewood immediately upon holding it. The finish is smooth without any rough edges. It's a functional piece of art.
Q: Is this suitable for outdoor display?
A: No, this ornament is intended for indoor use only. Exposure to rain, direct sunlight, or humidity changes can crack or warp the solid wood.
Q: How should I clean this if it gets dusty?
A: We recommend gently wiping it with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. Avoid using water or liquid cleaners as they can damage the wood finish.
Q: Does each piece look exactly like the photo?
A: Since this is hand-carved from natural wood, the grain pattern and minor carving details will vary slightly, making each piece unique.
Q: Is the wood treated with any chemicals or strong varnishes?
A: No, we use a natural polish to enhance the grain. There are no strong chemical smells, just the natural aroma of rosewood.
Q: Can this holder accommodate thick calligraphy brushes?
A: Yes, the gourd opening is designed to hold a variety of brush sizes, including thicker ones used for large character writing.
