A true collector's gem
I was hesitant about buying such an old item online, but the certificate of authenticity put my mind at ease. The stone quality is superior, grinding ink smoothly without damaging the brush.

Beautiful but requires careful handling
The aesthetic value is undeniable. It is a genuine piece of history. I deducted one star only because the packaging could have been slightly more robust for such a fragile antique, though it arrived safely.

Perfect addition to my calligraphy set
As a practitioner of traditional calligraphy, finding a Ming Dynasty She inkstone in this condition is rare. The pool design holds water perfectly, and the texture is ideal for grinding ink sticks.

High quality, exactly as described
The photos did not do justice to the actual depth of the carving. It is a heavy, substantial piece. Very satisfied with the purchase, although the price is steep, it reflects the rarity.

Elegant and historically significant
Bought this as a gift for my father who loves Chinese history. He was thrilled. The patina shows its age beautifully, and the peach motif symbolizes longevity, making it a meaningful ornament.
Q: What does the 'Eyebrow Pattern' refer to in the description?
A: The Eyebrow Pattern refers to a specific decorative carving style popular during the Ming Dynasty, characterized by curved, arch-like lines that resemble eyebrows, often framing the ink pool or decorating the rim.
Q: Is international shipping available for this item?
A: Yes, we offer insured international shipping for all cultural artifacts. Please note that customs duties and import taxes may apply depending on your country's regulations regarding antiques.
Q: Does the item come with a certificate of authenticity?
A: Yes, every Ming Dynasty artifact we sell includes a detailed certificate of authenticity issued by our certified appraisers, confirming the period, material, and origin of the piece.
Q: Is this inkstone functional for grinding ink or just for display?
A: This inkstone is fully functional. While it is a valuable collector's item suitable for display, the She stone material is renowned for its fine grain, making it excellent for grinding traditional ink sticks for calligraphy.
Q: How should I clean this antique inkstone?
A: We recommend cleaning it gently with lukewarm water and a soft cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals, detergents, or abrasive brushes, as these can damage the historical patina and the stone surface.
