Decent but instructions lacking
The hardware is fine, but I had to look up online tutorials to understand the 4-wire vs 3-wire setup. Once wired correctly, it functions as expected.

Good sensitivity, watch out for sunlight
Works well indoors. Just note that direct sunlight can trigger false positives since it detects infrared. Great value for hobby projects.

Perfect for Arduino Safety Prototypes
This sensor works flawlessly with my Arduino Uno. I used it to build an automatic shutoff system for a model engine. The sensitivity is adjustable via the potentiometer.
