Range varies
It works well for close objects, but I found the 400cm range is optimistic depending on the surface material. Good for the price though.

Good sensor, minor wiring note
Great accuracy within the specified range. Just note that Raspberry Pi users might need a voltage divider for the echo pin. Otherwise, solid module.

Perfect for robotics
Works flawlessly with my Arduino Uno project. The reverse polarity protection saved me when I wired it backwards initially. Highly recommend for beginners.

I've tested this against a more expensive sensor and the readings are consistent. The build quality is sturdy enough for indoor prototypes.
