Great for my smart plant project

Works well for indoor plants
Sensitive enough to detect when my pots are dry. I wish the cables were a bit longer for larger planters, but overall satisfied with the performance.

Good value but probes corrode
The sensor works well for reading moisture levels accurately. Just note that the metal probes will corrode over time if left in soil permanently without coating.

Simple interface
The digital output makes it very easy to integrate without needing ADC pins. The LED indicator on the board is helpful for debugging threshold levels.
Q: How do I prevent probe corrosion?
A: We recommend applying a conformal coating or nail polish to the metal probes, or using stainless steel extensions for long-term soil contact.
Q: Is the output analog or digital?
A: This module primarily provides a digital switch output (DO). Most versions also include an analog output (AO) pin for precise moisture reading.
Q: Can I use this with a Raspberry Pi?
A: Yes, it is compatible with Raspberry Pi GPIO pins. Ensure you power it at 3.3V or 5V depending on your specific Pi model requirements.
