Good value but needs calibration
The module works as described. You need to spend some time calibrating the gain to get rid of noise, but once set up, it detects muscle activity reliably. Not for medical use, but great for engineering prototypes.

Perfect for robotics projects
I used this sensor to control a robotic arm based on muscle flexion. The signal is clean enough for hobbyist applications and interfaced easily with my Arduino Uno. Great educational tool.

Easy to integrate
Documentation was clear. I was able to read the analog values within an hour of unboxing. The dry electrodes are comfortable for short testing sessions.
Q: Can I connect multiple sensors to one Arduino for multi-muscle tracking?
A: Yes, since the output is analog, you can connect multiple modules to different analog input pins on your microcontroller to monitor several muscle groups simultaneously.
Q: Are replacement electrodes available if the dry contacts wear out?
A: The dry electrodes are designed for long-term use. However, standard snap-style EMG electrodes can also be connected via the provided cable adapter if needed.
Q: Can this sensor be used with 3.3V microcontrollers like ESP32?
A: Yes, the module operates within a 3.3V to 5V range, making it fully compatible with ESP32, Arduino Due, and standard Arduino Uno boards.
Q: Do you provide a library for Arduino?
A: Yes, we provide a basic example sketch in our GitHub repository that demonstrates how to read the analog signal and visualize it on the serial plotter.
Q: Is this suitable for measuring heart rate (ECG)?
A: No, this module is specifically filtered for Electromyography (muscle activity) frequencies. For heart rate, please refer to our dedicated ECG sensor modules.
