Needs warm-up time
Didn't work right out of the box. Had to let it preheat for a day as stated. Works fine after that.

Great for Arduino Projects
Works perfectly with my Arduino Uno. Needed some calibration but readings are stable now.

Good sensitivity
Detects smoke well. The potentiometer for sensitivity adjustment is useful. Just wish the documentation was clearer.

Reliable Sensor Module
Bought five for our workshop. All functioning correctly. Good build quality for the price.
Q: Can this connect directly to 3.3V logic?
A: The module operates at 5V, but the analog output can be read by 3.3V boards with a voltage divider.
Q: Is this suitable for outdoor weatherproofing?
A: The module itself is not waterproof. You need an enclosure for outdoor use.
Q: How do I calibrate the sensor?
A: Use the onboard potentiometer to adjust the digital threshold. For analog values, calibration requires clean air baseline coding.
Q: What is the lifespan of the sensor?
A: Typically 1-2 years depending on usage environment and exposure to contaminants.
Q: Does it detect carbon monoxide specifically?
A: It detects CO among other combustible gases, but it is not specific to CO alone.
