Perfect for Robotics

Check your logic levels
Great sensor but echo is 5V. Be careful if connecting directly to 3.3V microcontrollers without a divider. Works fine on 5V boards.

You can't go wrong with HC-SR04. It's the standard for a reason. Easy to find libraries and tutorials online.
Q: Is this compatible with 3.3V logic boards?
A: The VCC accepts 3.3V to 5V, but the Echo output is 5V TTL. Please use a voltage divider when connecting Echo to 3.3V pins.
Q: What is the pinout order?
A: From left to right when facing the USB connector side: VCC, Trigger, Echo, GND.
Q: Can I use this module outdoors?
A: It can be used outdoors, but wind, temperature, and humidity may affect the speed of sound and measurement accuracy.
Q: What is the maximum accurate range?
A: While the spec says 400cm, reliable accuracy is typically best within 300cm depending on the object surface.
Q: Are there libraries available for this?
A: Yes, there are many open-source libraries available for Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and ESP8266/ESP32 platforms.
