Exactly as described
Fast detection response time and the dual output options are very useful. I am using the analog output to measure flame intensity. Good value for the price.

Perfect for Arduino
Easy to wire up to my Arduino Uno. The digital output pin makes it simple to trigger an alarm or buzzer. Highly recommend for hobbyists.

Sensitive but needs tuning
Works well once you adjust the potentiometer correctly. Out of the box it was a bit too sensitive for my room lighting, but after calibration, it works perfectly.

Good but basic
Gets the job done for learning electronics. The documentation could be better regarding wiring diagrams for different boards. Otherwise, the hardware seems solid.

Great for robotics projects
Used this for my fire-fighting robot project. The response time is quite fast and it detects candle flames reliably within a meter. Easy to integrate with my microcontroller.
Q: Can this replace a home smoke alarm?
A: No, this is a hobbyist electronics component and is not certified for life safety applications. It should not be used as a substitute for professional fire safety equipment.
Q: What is the maximum detection distance?
A: The detection range depends on the flame intensity. For a standard candle flame, it typically detects up to 100cm in a dark environment. Stronger flames can be detected from further away.
Q: Does this work with 5V Arduino boards?
A: Yes, this module operates between 3.3V and 5V DC, so it is fully compatible with standard 5V Arduino boards like the Uno and Nano.
Q: Does it provide analog or digital output?
A: It provides both. The module has a digital output pin for simple high/low signaling and an analog output pin for reading varying flame intensity levels.
Q: Is this sensor waterproof for outdoor use?
A: No, this module is not waterproof. It is designed for indoor use or protected enclosures. Exposure to moisture may damage the circuitry.
