Had to tweak the pot quite a bit to avoid false positives from sunlight. Works well indoors though.

Great for Arduino projects
Works perfectly with my Uno. Sensitivity is adjustable via the potentiometer which is very convenient for testing.
Q: Does it come with cables?
A: No, headers are included but wiring cables are sold separately.
Q: Is it compatible with Raspberry Pi?
A: Yes, it works with any microcontroller supporting 3.3V or 5V logic levels.
Q: Can it work outdoors?
A: It may be affected by direct sunlight due to IR interference. Best used indoors or shaded.
Q: Can this detect smoke?
A: No, this module detects infrared radiation from flames, not smoke particles.
Q: What is the difference between 3-wire and 4-wire?
A: 4-wire includes an analog output (AO) for variable sensitivity reading, while 3-wire is digital only.
